Asteria Markus

Asteria Markus is a certified Policy Officer in European and International Organizations with a demonstrated history of working in the government administration industry as well as international organisations such as the European Union.  While working at the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development in Namibia; she was involved in the formulation of the Namibian National Rural Development Policy.

After understanding and valuing the opportunities in the energy sector; she decided to transform her career beginning with a master study in Global Energy Transition and Governance. She successfully completed her master study in June 2018. The programme took place in France and Germany followed by a technical study tour in Belgium. After her study, she joined the SADC Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (SACREEE) to support the preparation and implementation of the Energy Efficient Lighting and Appliances (EELA) project since December 2018.
