Edouard Ndayisaba

NDAYISABA Edouard is a renewable energy expert in Rwanda. He has 14 years’ experience in managing renewable energy projects, especially in biogas and solar sectors in Rwanda and in the East African Region. Currently he is the Chief Executive Officer of DGridenergy Rwanda and he is leading different private sector organizations: Vice Chairman at Energy Private Developers (EPD) in Rwanda and Vice chairman at East Africa Renewable Energy Federation (EAREF) bringing together all regional private sector actors and key stakeholders to promote and advance the use of renewable energy. He has been promoting renewable energy for productive use by organizing international conferences in renewable energy sector (Renewable Energy for Sustainable Growth – RE4SG) held in Rwanda every year from 2017 and by organizing East African Renewable Energy Dialogue to influence renewable energy adoption. He is also the chairman of Rwanda Skills Development Fund- Grant Committee under Priority Skills Growth Program – A Government program funded by World Bank to upgrade skills in priority economic sectors in Rwanda. He has been successfully working on two innovative initiatives of solar for agriculture: (1) Mobile Solar irrigation kits to increase crop production in off-grid agricultural production area and (2) Milk Solar Chiller Transport on Motorcycle for preventing milk spoilage during its transport from farms in remote areas to milk collection centers/dairies and/or in milk distribution from dairies to consumers.
