Professor Kevin N. Nwaigwe is a specialist in Energy and Power, Mechanical Engineering and is currently a Faculty at University of Botswana. He is the Project Manager for Southern African Solar Thermal Training and Demonstration Initiative (SOLTRAIN IV) program, anchored by the Clean Energy Research Centre (CERC), University of Botswana. Prof Nwaigwe is also currently Chair, Faculty Quality Assurance Committee, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, University of Botswana. Among other previous responsibilities, Prof Nwaigwe was a member of the Management Committee of the Clean Energy Research Centre, University of Botswana (2018 – 2021). He also served as the Chairman of the Biofuels Working Group of Botswana Bureau of Standards (BOBS) (2019 – 2021), which led to the development of Biogas Standards for Botswana.
Prof Nwaigwe is a Professional Engineer registered with many professional associations and has served as session organizer, thermal and energy analyses in fuel processing and biofuel systems during the American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) 2016 10th International Conference on Energy Sustainability, Charlotte, NC, USA. He also served as Keynote Speaker, 4th International Conference on Advances in Engineering Sciences and Applied Mathematics, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Dec. 9, 2015).
