Shehu Ibrahim Khaleel

Mr. Khaleel is a sustainable energy and Energy Efficiency  Expert with About 20-years’ experience in Sustainable Energy Access,  Projects management, Energy Policy, Strategy and Regulatory framework, Monitoring and Evaluation of clean Energy programs, Electricity Market formulation and planning including Energy  Investments business plan development in Sub-Sahara Africa.

Over the period of 20 years,  He works as consultant   within the Nigerian Government Energy Sector at different levels. Khaleel  has been a Consultant with International Financing Institutions (AfDB, WB, AFC, IFC etc) and Development Partners (AFD, EC, GIZ, USAID, JICA, DFID etc) in the field of Sustainable Energy programs and projects across the African Continent. He actively partake in various sustainable Energy projects and initiatives in Africa, i.e the EU-TAF for SE4ALL for West, South and East Africa, Desert to Power Initiatives, Power Africa,  Africa Bioenergy Program, ROGEP, EU-FWC on Energy etc.

Currently, he is working with AUC, DIE under the EU-TAF mission for the Harmonization of African Single Electricity Market Regulatory Framework.

He has project experience in over 22 countries of Sub-Saharan Africa; working for governments, utilities, development organizations and private, clean Energy Developers.

He is holder of Bachelor of Engineering Electrical and Masters of Science on Strategic Planning. He is Senior Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering IEEE, and a member of International Solar Energy Society.
