The focus on projects that promote access to clean energy in developing countries is another commitment that is reinforced by EDP's new social impact strategy. Created in 2018, the A2E Fund (Access to Energy) launches its fourth edition on 12 April 2022, with double the amount of funding: 1 million EUR to support projects in five African countries - Mozambique, Nigeria, Malawi, Angola and Rwanda.
In its third edition, the initiative aims to support brilliant young African talents from the MGA alumni community in addressing major environmental and social challenges that obstruct African countries' development. Applicants are required to submit innovative and ground-breaking ideas, ongoing experiences and projects; the three most innovative ones will be awarded and promoted invisibility by the Micro-Grid Academy.

The GET.invest Finance Catalyst team assists private-sector-driven renewable energy projects and companies. The Team can support independent power producers (IPPs), commercial and industrial solutions, mini-grids, solar home system businesses, and solar distributors, energy services companies (ESCOs and DESCOs), energy efficiency, and clean cooking projects in sub-Saharan Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific region.
The aim of the SADC Energy Youth Organisation Survey is to capture information about youth movements or organizations or institutions or private companies in the Renewable Energy (RE) and Energy Efficiency (EE) sector in the SADC region. In addition, the survey seeks for thought leaders to contribute to the RE and EE conversation.
