Basel Agency for Sustainable Energy (BASE) in partnership with the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (SACREEE) and the International Copper Association (ICA) is providing technical services for the implementation of GCF Readiness projects with Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN

The SADC Center for  Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (SACREEE) is cooperating with the Southern African Power Pool Coordination Centre (SAPP CC) in implementing a portion of the SAPP Program for Accelerating Regional Energy/Transformational Projects (SAPP-AREP) that relates to SACREEE. SAPP-AREP is funded by the World Bank with resources provided by the International Development Association (IDA) and Multi-Donor Trust Fund (MDTF).

The SADC Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (SACREEE) and the Southern African Science Service Centre for Climate Change and Adaptive Land Management (SASSCAL) are coordinating the H2 ATLAS-AFRICA project in the SADC region.

The SADC Renewable Energy Entrepreneurship Support Facility is being implemented in the sixteen-member countries of the SADC and builds on the Memorandum of Understanding between SACREEE and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), signed in February 2017, to support renewable energy market development in the SADC region through capacity building of small to medium-sized entrepreneurs (SMEs). The Facility has been fully supported financially by IRENA from its inception in 2019 to 2023. In January 2022, SACREEE signed a grant agreement with the Deutsche Gesellsch
