Eugenia Masvikeni

Eugenia Masvikeni is the Renewable Energy Expert for SACREEE under the Southern Africa Power Pool / World Bank Accelerating Regional Energy/Transformational Projects (AREP) Programme. In her 20 years’ experience in the energy sector, she has worked on various consulting assignments in sub-Sahara Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia for the World Bank, the African Development Bank and United Nations Agencies. She previously worked for the Development Bank of Southern Africa Climate Finance as a Principal Investment Officer where she was involved in the institutional establishment and accreditation of the Bank to the Green Climate Fund and the Global Environmental Facility.  She also worked for Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB Power) as an Energy Economist, and the Zimbabwe Power Company as an Investment Officer in addition to working with Independent Power Producers on the South Africa Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme. Her skills include energy sector planning, policy development, project preparation, due diligence, and financing. She holds an MSc in Renewable Energy Development a Masters’ Development Finance and a BSc Honours Economics.
